Discover the fun, easy way to bake love and nutrition into your dog's diet.  The four legged member of your family will be so happy that you took the time to show you care!  Caution: if your dog has known food allergies or is on a restricted diet, consult your veterinarian before preparing and serving any of the recipes below

Liver Cake

1lb Liver (preferably lamb)

2 Eggs

1 whole Garlic Bulb

12oz Self Raising Flour

1/2 Pint Water or Milk

Put the liver, eggs and garlic into a food processor.  Add flour and mix.  Once blended add water or milk. Pour mixture into a lined cake tin.  Cook on 180 degrees (Gas Mark 4) for half an hour or until the mixture is firm to touch.  Cool and cut.  Bag and freeze as required.

Peamutt Butter

1/4 Cup Peanut Butter

1 Tablespoon Vegetable Oil

1 Cup Water

2 1/4 Cups Whole Wheat Flour

1 Cup Oatmeal

Preheat oven to 180 degrees (Gas Mark 4).  In a large bowl combine peanut butter, oil and water.  Gradually add flour, then oatmeal.  Roll dough to 1/4 inch thickness and cut with a cookie cutter.  Place on an ungreased cookie sheet.  Cook for 30-35 minutes or until edges start to brown.  Cool and cut.  Bag and freeze as required.

 

Dig N' Cheese

1/2 Cup Grated Cheddar Cheese

2 Tablespoons Softened Margarine

1 1/2 Cups Wholewheat Flour

1/2 Cup Milk

Preheat oven to 180 degrees (Gas Mark 4).   Cream together cheese and margarine.  Add milk and flour.  Mold mixture into a ball and roll dough to 1/4" thickness.  Cut dough with cookie cutter and place on ungreased cookie sheet.  Bake for 30-35 minutes or until edges start to brown.  Cool and cut.  Bag and freeze as required.

 

Sardine Cake

2 Cups of Self-Raising Flour

2 Eggs

2 x 75g Tins of Sardines in Oil

Garlic Granules (Optional)

Approx 50ml of Water

Whisk the ingredients together to a cake like mixture and pour onto baking tray.  Bake in the Oven at 180 degrees (Gas Mark 4) for around 25-30 minutes.  Cool and cut.  Bag and freeze as required.
